Clients always ask me what can they do with their hair when they are having a bad hair day. You may be on an off week and you want to be able to achieve a style without appplying heat to your hair. Some may argue that their hair texture is different than the model, so I'm going to do a series of different textures. Many believe that using heat is the only way to achieve a great hairstyle, but in fact, there are many heatless hairstyles, that not only leave your hair looking great but that are easy to achieve and very low maintenance. So below you will find examples of heatless hairstyles to get you through that unexpected power outage or day when you just don't feel like pulling out the flat iron! Enjoy!
Style 1
This look can be achieved by using mousse, setting lotion, or foam wrap lotion. Braid or twist (Bantu knots) your hair and keep it braided over night. Once you wake up take out the braids or knots, then take a wide tooth comb and comb out your hair until it's as full as you desire.
Style 2
This style can be achieved by using pomade or styling gel. Take a brush, brush the hair in a secure ponytail then wrap the hair securely around. Once the hair is fully wrapped, use the bobby pins to hold the hair in place.

This look can be achieved by french braiding your hair in any direction, then wrapping braid around the hair as you desire. Once braid is done you can use the bun technique to secure the braid in place. You can also opt for a messier look.
